Police Doubt Lees

"JOANNE Lees was reinterviewed by police a week after the disappearance of her boyfriend Peter Falconio because of concerns about 14 "inconsistencies" in her story, a Darwin detective told a court yesterday.

Superintendent Jeanette Kerr, then a detective-sergeant, interviewed Ms Lees for three hours after police had trouble verifying some of her statement and testimony given during a 12-hour interrogation at Alice Springs in July 2001. "
