ATHENS, Greece — There are posters of Brad Pitt and Clint Eastwood in the lobby. The walls of the stairwell are lined with stills of Claude Rains and Bogey in the fade-out from Casablanca and Clark Gable with Vivien Leigh wrapped in his arms in Gone With the Wind.
It is outdoors. Just one flight up from the T-shirt stands and souvenir shops, the hustlers trying to pull you into their overpriced tavernas and creperies in the heart of the Plaka, is a slice of evening paradise in the middle of Athens.
