Part of a Cathay Pacific airliner fell on top of a car travelling along Chaeng Watthana road during rush hour last night _ giving the motorist the fright of his life.

The object was later found to be a sheet of insulation material from Flight CX 751, a Boeing 777, leaving for India.

It damaged the roof and the right rear door of the black Nissan driven by Mongkol Uthoksiri, 41, of Somkiat law office in the Saphan Mai area. Mr Mongkol was not hurt.
