Airline bans family for life after bomb joke
A 16-year-old’s alleged joke about a bomb in his aunt’s hand luggage led to a life ban for him and his family from UK airline bmibaby.
Ryan Sherwin was about to board a flight from Manchester to Malaga in Spain this week with his mother, aunt and cousin.
But after he joked that his aunt’s luggage contained a bomb, he was led away by armed police for questioning before being released.
Sherwin and his mother were denied access to the flight and banned from all future bmibaby flights.
