WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Officials in New York state want to put tourists behind bars -- for a day.

Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano wants to transform part of the notorious Sing Sing prison into a museum.

The main attraction would be the original 176-year-old cellblock.

Sing Sing is up the Hudson river from New York City and gave rise to the phrase going "up the river."
