In a clearing beyond the mysterious piles of greenery and strange fruit that inhabit every Vietnamese marketplace, the piglets are being pulled from their baskets. The scales are brought out. It's judgement day. Straw hats circle as deals are done over squealing, protesting pink flesh. Dog-eared dong changes hands.
The kids have missed it all, of course.
