April 24, 2005Loo of the Year Awards
Entries are now being received for the 2005 Loo of the Year Awards – the annual competition to find the best places to ‘go’ throughout the UK and, for the first time this year, the Republic of Ireland. The competition is promoted by The British Toilet Association with 2005 funding provided by Armitage Shanks, the leading bathroom equipment manufacturer, the British Cleaning Council, the body promoting higher standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the cleaning industry, washroom service specialists Cannon Hygiene – their tenth year of sponsorship, Technical Concepts, provider of the Neutralle brand of washroom products and SCA Hygiene Products, Europe’s largest tissue manufacturer. The four UK national tourism bodies – Visit Britain, Visit Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland Tourist Boards also support the Awards, since visitor impressions of anywhere are often first gained in the loo.
