The world's largest passenger plane lifted off from Toulouse, France on its maiden voyage Wednesday.
Chief Test Pilot Jacques Rosay said, “The take-off was perfect. Up to now it is all absolutely perfect so we are very happy.” Rosay radio his comments about an hour into the flight according to a statement released by Airbus.
The Airbus A380 "superjumbo" - filled with some 22-tons of testing equipment - will likely stay within 100 miles of Toulouse.
